Scandrick will take that position when TNew goes away. If they want to draft a position of need back there they better draft a real Safety.

IMO dallas has its fs in alan ball. or maybe newman. u never know

You can never draft enough good young CBs! I think Dallas goes after offensive lineman after the Superbowl for depth purposes.

As maligned as Newman has been on this board, my heart dropped when he limped off the field. We need the guy.

Good points. I really like Ball. He has developed quite nicely in Dallas!

Define "holes".

My preference would be, in order...

1. LT. Flo's not getting any younger.
2. ILB. Ditto Brooking (a stud, for sure). Need time under his leadership.
3. CB. Newman is getting up there and is on the decline.
4. SS. Hamlin and Sensabaugh have been solid but not spectacular.

Beyond that, I don't really care. O-line and D-line depth is never a bad idea. I'm pretty happy not drafting a WR so long as we keep finding Pro-Bowlers after the draft! :)

O-Line depth and a playmaking FS would top my personal list.

I do agree about Ware, Ratliff, and Jenkins being everything we want and now you can add some Spencer in there. Thats 4 darn good, young, core guys to help this defensive unit stay very good for a very long time.

Me too. He's not our best corner anymore but he's still a better corner than Scandrick or Ball and I'd had to see us have to continue on without him at this point.

doug free will be dallas' lt. the guy has great footwork. remember flo started out on the right side.

Newman is a poor mans Jenkins.

I love me some Jenkins and Sensabaugh!

Newman seems to be a different style of CB than Jenkins is. I would say Scandrick and Newman are a lot more similar to each other than Jenkins and Newman.

TNew is still great - he has just been a whipping boy for some on the board for never becoming the second-coming of Deion.

I was interested to see how Ball might do. Seems physical and seems to play in control. Does not get turned around easily.

i agree - free is the future LT. We probably draft another tackle anyways for depth as colombo is getting old and will be coming off another major leg injury. We also didn't get much of a look at Brewster before he hit the IR. We can also use some more depth on the interior as I'm not sold on Holland or Procter.

ILB is a must as mentioned eariler.

Another good safety with coverage skills and ballhawking ability would be much appreciated.

The one thing that makes me wonder about Ball at safety is he seems to be a very good tackler which is a must at safety. He also has enough height and weight to play the position now. I would put him in competition for the starter although he is quite valuable as a guy who can play both positions.
