I would like that, but I'm not sure if we'll have the money, and I'm not sure he wants to come back here. If all the stars align then I'd be for it. But he seems pretty happy in Denver.

I dont know how much he will cost, but I dont him getting what he did his last contract. He isnt a bank breaking player anymore and is entering his subpackage years like Abraham did towards the end. As a one down rusher, he could extend his longevity

Ray is really coming on and I dont think the Broncos have a need for a player like Ware anymore

No I don't see him getting the same contract either, but we have to pay a lot of players. He could also re-sign with Denver for less. I disagree that they wouldn't want him at all they'll probably want to keep him for less. Again as I said if we can make it work and he wants to come here (i.e. the stars align) then I'd be for it.

With Ray and Miller both being 3 down players, I dont see them spending the money to pay Ware. They dont really have the need for a specialist. He wont get 10 million per, but he should get 6 or 7 million per at this stage. I dont see them paying that for him right now.

For us, I dont think the money would be an issue. Signing Ware would be of little consequence to the cap. However the issue is that they are very conservative and frugal in FA. Even with the dire need for a pass rusher and the fact we have good run defending DE's on the roster to platoon with him, would they pay a 1 down specialist 6 or 7 million per?

One reason I see it as a real possibility is that they will explore FA to add to the pass rush before the draft, so they arent in a position to need to reach for a DE in round 1. A guy like Ware gives you an effective rusher with not much of long term committment. His contract isnt going to keep you from retaining the players you want. I think Ware would be perfectly fine coming back to Dallas

After we ditch Romo we should have enough for Chandler Jones

1 year 3 million. He will miss half the games anyway with injuries.

If we go back to the 3-4. Sure.
Why if we go back to a 3-4. Ware at this point in his career is solely 3rd down rusher, and Denver plays their nickle from a 4 man line. He would have no issues rushing the QB from a 3 point stance

If we bring in Ware, we would not be using him only on third downs. With our D-line, he's be having to do a lot more. He would wear down even faster than he has been in Denver. About the only contract I want him signing is when he's signing his retirement check with our team.

I dont see us needing him in base D. Give Irving the start at LDE with Lawrence at RDE. On passing situations bring in Ware at RDE and slide Lawrence over to left
