In a 34 defense he is an OLB, but what about in a 43?

Is he a DE? ala Charles Haley

Or is he a LB? ala Brian Urlacher?

After all doesn't Ware have the fastest 40 time at the combine of all our LBers? Could he play LB in the 43?

imo it would be a waste of his natural pass rushing abilities to have him play OLB in the 4-3

We spent all this time making him on OLB in a 3-4 and he is starting to play consistant game breaking defense. Lets leave him where he is.

He's a 3-4 OLB.

He's too small -- and has too much ability in other areas -- to be an every down 4-3 guy. He'd be more like a Leonard Little type (hopefully minus the vehicular manslaughter) who does nothing but rush the passer.

4-3 LB is out of the question. Total waste.

The guy is perfect for his current role.

Sure. He becomes great at something, now we want to move him.

Par for the course with this staff.

ware is no ware near urlacher

You are right, Ware isn't arguably the best LBer in the league.

But I would wager Ware is top 10.

He's a DE in a 4-3 defense....

He isn't too small to be a DE.
It is obvious he prefers to play DE when you hear his interviews.
