If Overshown can stay healthy and continue to learn, he will be outstanding. He’s essentially a rookie after missing all of last year. Whoever is the next DC will have some fun figuring out how to deploy Parsons and Overshown.

Btw, the only reason Overshown wasn’t drafted higher in the 2023 draft was his injury history. He missed games due to injury his freshman and sophomore seasons but stayed healthy his jr and sr year at Texas. Health is always a big factor with DO.

Cowboys have a young playmaker at off ball LB finally. DeMo is a piece to build around, and he should improve more from now to the last game. Overshown is the type of guy that can be a leader on the team, he plays hard even in blowouts.

Do you want to see more Liaufa or do you think he's not a MLB?
At least you recognize that don't ask these people they're not professionals literally they want to give up on our rookies and say they're all doomed eight games into the season in which they're being forced to play more than they should... Liafu who needs to be given a chance at middle linebacker before everyone gives up on him desperately the words some people up there use are ridiculous let's let this play out and let them have another offseason and another training camp and hopefully with a better coaching staff because I believe we need to develop guys before we write them off guyton is not a bad pick and he will be good in the future whether it's at right tackle or left tackle he will be part of our future I've seen enough of him but yet like liafu there are they're basically just glossing over the fact that we drafted him... He's being thrown into a defense that's missing 8 starters or at least eight key players and somehow we're judging the guy like we need another impact middle linebacker next year before we even give him a chance I mean it's laughable with the fan base does in here just skips right over it don't ask these people why don't you ask the coaching staff like somehow send some type of e-mail and tell them to make sure they ask the coaches and send some breakdown of films on how they feel about the rookie class including him I believe he's gonna be fine we need to give him a chance..

I've seen this guy in flashes almost forget I thought he was kendricks for a minute when I ran around the field full speed I can't see their number I think we need to try to develop him before we give up and bail out but maybe a solid free agent but there's a lot of time left this year to make sure these guys get more actual live games and more tutoring and experience before we are talking about next year's draft oh we need another linebacker lmao I think between overshone playing next to Parsons full time not in spot duty they've hardly been on the field together and you add in the and whatever happens this offseason I don't think we need to run out desperately looking for a middle linebacker maybe a mid level 1 we need some depth there because Clark's not going to do it so far he's just been a guy he's worth keeping on the team for special teams and depth but he's just not that guy...

I see ML as a nickel LB. His speed is his strength and I think he could be used as an effective stand-up blitzer. But he’s not a great run defender so he can’t play MLB in this system.

Automatic Aubrey?
Tyler smith, Osa , Beebee, Rico, if he would have been used correctly a bright sport IMO..., there are plenty of other players who played pretty well this year it's just getting all muddled up in all the injuries and the bad play on the field but I tap the brakes and act like we only had two players on this team that played well it's kinda hard to see in this mess....

He's got a great run defender you mean on a bad defense missing 8 key players and being forced onto the field in a role where he can't grow because he's stuffed in there I don't see it I think he can be a middle linebacker and I say the eight games in you're not making that choice for him or the coaching staff because what you think you see is pretty much goes for the entire team they're all bad at run stopping they're all bad at pretty much everything if you just look at how the defense played on a hole none of them look good I don't care how good overshown has Flashed, he's on the field with this group when we've been getting blown off the ball and ran over and thrown on so it's kind of hard to judge a rookie eight games in when he should have never been counted on as much as he has been so I disagree wholeheartedly you're not going to convince me that you think you know what your eyes are seeing until we actually watched the guy play more I say he looks a lot like kendricks at times and I think he needs to be given a shot before this whole oh this guy's being pigeonholed is we can't count on him as a middle linebacker next year with a whole bunch of games left to play this year another offseason and hopefully a better coaching staff and a better scheme to go along with it..

It is completely unfair to this current group of rookies and 2nd year players to be being blamed for not looking like all pros with all the mess that was put on around them and have to deal with this coaching staff....

If we wouldn't have lost eight key players on defense and able to actually spot duty these guys and have some people around them to help them along that would have been nice but that didn't happen this year so anything that you're evaluating your eyes are being glazed over because you don't realize how bad everything's been all around all the players it's hard to judge any of them because there's been so many badly executed plays throughout the entire team that there's no way to evaluate the player unless you're a coach and you go show me every single snap and know exactly what is role was in that play like what was he supposed to do and what did he end up doing I bet you would find out he's a lot better than you think he is...

And by the way just to remind you and you might be one of them that think Michael Parsons is overrated and we should trade him because he doesn't offer any value to this team moving forward other than draft picks This is why you don't listen to a fans evaluation and more so trust the coaches to be able to break down what their responsibilities were and how well actually perform on any given play or game because right now we don't have that I don't care what you saw that he might have missed something you know they play like 30 snaps a game or more and you remember one or two per game maybe 6 per year and then judge the whole players career on that I'd say that the jury's still out on this whole crop of first year and 2nd and 3rd year players that a nice coaching staff would be nice so we can actually see what they really can do....

Another building block for the future. Just need to get some DTs in front of him and I think this defense can rebound in a big way. Yes I'm more optimistic than some :).
