Anyone ever thought about visiting there? I think it would be pretty cool. That it's filled with a bunch of buxom blondes does not hurt.

They're all lily-white countries. Oh wait, now it all makes sense. :D

Been to Amsterdam. Not too far away.

Yes, the sights are nice.

And more bikes then you could imagine.

And nice sites on bikes.

I have several friends in Norway (all men, sorry), mostly in Bergen. If you decide to go, let me know and I can at least have them meet up with you and take you out on the town, show you around, etc.

Bergen is very pretty from the pictures I've seen.

I've been to Oslo and it is nice enough.

It is so far north that during the summer there is little true darkness at night.

And it gets cool up there, even during the summer. Bring your long johns.

My wife wants to go at some point as her mother was half Norwegian. I'm guessing we will just take a Baltic cruise or something. Hit all the countries in Scandinavia and hopefully shoot up to Russia as I would also love to visit St. Petersburg.

Heard that the scenery in the countryside is amazing. Never personally been, but I have an open invitation on the table to visit Holland from an exchange student in school. She says Amsterdam is overrated compared to the rest of Holland.

I'm sure Amsterdam is good for more than just bong hits. :laugh2:

The scandinavian countries are pretty good but you'll find plenty of beautiful landscape and buxom blondes in mainland Germany as well.

Amsterdam is a very nice place. It is not just another large city; they live differently there. Not so many cars and an amazing number of bicycles. Several very nice museums. Canals. Mass transit. Great food. Parks. Various markets. It is a very nice place to visit.

The coffee shops and red light district are mere sideshows. It's too bad that so many people focus on them and get the wrong impression, because Amsterdam has a lot more to offer than that silliness.
