I'm sleepy about the draft. Glad it's over and football is finally here. It would be another story if I got paid for it, but I don't. So, I can't sit around and dork out on the draft all day.

Deuce will tell his story on the field.

But! It's because he earned it. Nobody gives Deiluce anything in life if he's at this point being 5'5. That's disrespectful to him if anybody thinks he's not grinding
NO ONE has ever said that he isnt a great guy, a hard worker, a grinder. A super underdog story. At least I havent.
All Ive ever said is that I dont see him translating to the NFL. And 31 other teams, as well as the team that drafted him as a comp 6th round pick, didnt place much value on him either.
What do you think that little war room meeting was about? The one that his dad left.
If he was at the top of their board, it would have been a no brainer. If they really thought he was a cant miss prospect, it would have been a no brainer. If he was as good as a lot of folks on this board, internet wanna be scouts and click baiters think he is, then he should have been drafted in at least the second round. So either they're all wrong and should all loose their jobs for passing over the next (insert pro bowl player here). Oooorrr, said interweb experts are wrong. You pick.
Now, back to that little closed door meeting. What they were talking about is that in the very realistic scenario of duece not making the team, what kind of possible drama would that bring. They obviously think highly of his dad. They wanted to all be on board with the potential back draft that him not making the team would cause.
I honestly hope he is Sanders lite. If he is, he makes this team better. Thats all I care about. I personally dont think he is that. And every NFL team agreed as well. Barry went in the top 10. Duece was a couple of picks from being a 7th rounder.
Yes, even the experts get it wrong. But they get it right far more often.
Is duece the exception or the rule? We'll find out in a couple of weeks.

Deuce is definitely making the team and earning a roster spot. Just because the other teams passed on him does not mean they would not have picked him later. In addition there have been other short players drafted in the 4th round or later and decent NFL careers.

Coming out of Cedar Ridge High Raiders in Round Rock, TX up the road from Austin i would read in the news about this little guy tearing it up. Due to his size he didn't get any offers from Texas universities and so KState offered him one based on they had a player named Darren Sproles who played in 2001 similar with same build. Deuce showed his stuff there too being Freshman of the Year in the Big 12 in 2020, consensus All American in 2021 and unanimous All American in 2022.

Thrilled he is with the Cowboys now and can show his talents on national TV...prime time games and prove his doubters wrong again. At only 21, the sky is the limit for this kid.

Why? Was there any special about it?
Not like his dad is a part of the scouting team or something. Would of been cool if that was the case.
