The NFL lockout is finally over, but Deunta Williams is still playing the waiting game.
The former White Oak High School standout and University of North Carolina safety is still trying to recover from a devastating leg injury, which he says is the reason he wasn’t selected in April’s NFL draft.
“The only thing I’m waiting for is for my leg to get back to 100 percent. I’m not thinking about anything other than that,” Williams said in a telephone interview from Chapel Hill. “Honestly, the only important thing to me is getting my leg right and enjoying a good, quality life."

I think that says a lot about him as a person that he's concerned with his health rather than playing football. Must mean that he's a smart individual - probably has good grades in school, etc.
Definitely the kind of guy that Garrett would like to have. I would salivate at our FS and SS being Williams and Church in the future if Church's progression continues.
“I thank God for me getting injured because it made me realize there are so many different things in life taken for granted,” he said. “Since the injury, I have been leaning on God more than I ever have. I also want to show love to all my supporters in Jacksonville. Sorry it took me so long to come out publicly to say anything.”
Yeah I really like this guy.
