After reading that our phone is ringing off the hook from other teams, I couldn't help thinking of the Saints, with their logjam at WR.

From what I read on Sporting News, David Patten, Devery Henderson, Robert Meachem, Terrance Copper and Lance Moore all are fighting for playing time opposite Colston, with Skyler Green trying to stick as a returner. Patten seems like he's got WR2, Meachem is a first rounder and I read Copper is a lock because of his ST contributions.

I don't see us swinging a deal for a big-time WR; Devery Henderson seems like the odd man out in NO and I could see him contributing this season.

I find it suspicious that Meachem is tearing up the preseason, yet he's still behind Lance Moore on the Saints depth chart and Peyton is talking up Henderson. I think he's getting traded somewhere within the week. Would he fill a hole without blocking the progress of Austin and Hurd? What would you be willing to give up? Discuss...

Devery in my opinion would not be an upgrade to either Crayton/Austin/Hurd.

As silly as it may sound, the Saints still don't know what they have in Meachem yet. He has been injured, but he's also played poorly when healthy. I doubt that they will surrender Henderson to anyone until they're certain of Meachem. Devery's insurance if and until New Orleans makes that determination in my opinion.

They will keep a guy like Henderson over Skyler Green who isn't a great returner.

If the Cowboys need speed.

Devery is a speed WR

L. Coles is a speed WR

Either one would be a good pick up.

L. Coles? Where did that come from?

I was just bringing up another player that can spead the field. That's all.

Someone that is not a high profile player like R. Williams & Boldin

Meachem has played very well in the preseason after not playing in a game last year. He caught another bomb in the last game. He isn't going anywhere. Remember, he came out as a junior.

Henderson might be the odd man out. However, other teams will be on Henderson's trail for sure. I look for the Saints to move him for CB help.

i see him as another crayton. nice name but it's biggest value is he's not a cowboy and fun to put into 'what if' category when you're bored.

Funny random thing about Devery Henderson is that a couple weeks ago i found out that a friend of mine she is the cousin of Henderson. We live in San Antonio. True story just thought it was koo...
