Hey, anybody know if Dewayne Goodrich is still in jail? I thought he was in lockup for a long time but I think I saw him a couple of times in a club I went to in Downtown Dallas.

I think I recall Brownsugar mentioning he's out on appeal. I see he's using that time wisely.

He hasn't spent a day in jail, yet... and he's one of those that definitely should be locked up. :banghead:

He was sentenced to 7 1/2 years in 03 but I guess he could be out on good behavior and the revolving door we know as the judicial system

Where is Brownsugar?

I don't know WG, if I was facing 7&1/2 years, I would probably spend as much time as I could partying. And I don't even like the club scene.

Being that he caused two deaths after coming home from a night of partying, (drunk or not), you would think he wouldn't put himself in that position again.

I can't find any articles about it, but I do believe he's out on appeal.

As for BS, she's busy with her life, from what I understand. Novel concept, huh? :)

Edit: I searched for a post and this is what she posted awhile back on a thread about him being re-arrested, so I could be wrong about the appeal thing, even tho I could've sworn he was out, but oh well...
apparently, he was out on bond, but he wasn't paying his bond officer, so that's why they arrested him. He's at Pappadeaux's every Friday that I have been to happy hour..... He owes the bond officer $17,000 and haven't paid his attorney fees either. He has to be dumb as a stack of bricks, he went and bought a new house and a new Navigator and hadn't paid anything on his bond insurance. Tonight on the news, he said that he was broke...
These guys just don't get it, they don't have the right people surrounding them and showing them how to invest all this money that they are making...

Ok you guys are now seeing how I can't let stuff go sometimes... lol

He's now in jail. His appeal was denied, but not until Jan of this year.

Former Cowboy's appeal denied

Associated Press
National Football League News Wire

DALLAS -- Former Dallas Cowboys defensive back Dwayne Goodrich's appeal of his conviction in a deadly hit-and-run accident two years ago was denied Thursday.

He was convicted in August 2003 on two counts of criminally negligent homicide and sentenced to 7½ years in prison.

Demont Matthews, 23, and Joby Wood, 21, both of Plano were rescuing a driver from a burning car on Interstate 35 when they were struck by Goodrich's BMW. He left the scene.

Goodrich told jurors that a sport utility vehicle blocked his view of the pre-dawn accident. He said he originally believed, or hoped, he had hit debris. Goodrich returned to the scene hours later and then turned himself into police.

"It's relief -- one thing less that we have to do -- not having to go through another court case," Joby Wood's mother, Laura Wood, told Dallas-Fort Worth television station KDFW.

Goodrich told KDFW that he feels bad that two "good men" died that night, but he doesn't think he should have to go to jail. He also said he would like one day to talk to Laura Wood.

Yep.

I am convinced it was him. He has gotten pretty fat but I was not sure if it was him or not.

BTW, nothing wrong with going to the club scene as long as you dont have any troublemakers around you and your not a troublemaker yourself.

I actually had a good time last night and this particular club keeps things pretty cool. The party was being thrown by Tatum Bell, the running back from these parts who plays for the Broncos now.

Parcells would just love it if Julius Jones was out throwing a party at a nightclub for a couple hundred of his closest friends.

Instead the boring ba***** is just working out, getting ready for the season.

Her PC at home has had issues. She logs on at work and reads now and then, but doesn't have time to post from work too much. She did say she would if she had any tips.

Goodrich should be in jail for stealing money from us.

I know this is not the subject of the thread, but for those of you that were wondering, I read a blurb on a fantasy football site that siad the Packers were very happy and impressed with Murphy. So, if nothing else, BS will be able to get us the Packers scoop!

I read that something similar, too. I think Lenny P's tip sheet. Basically said since Javon Walker has been holding out, Murphy has been getting some good reps and he's doing real well.

WG,

That was the quote...boy, I am never going to get into a trivia game against you when it comes to pro football...sheesh, you read everything...:)
