Dhani Jones?

Does anyone on this board know the deal with Dhani Jones and why the Eagles are looking to replace him? Is he a FA, or just someone they're looking to cut? Any Eagles fans on the board may be able to help me with this because I didn't read or hear anything about Dhani Jones being replaced this year until today.

Because as an OLB he isnt very effective. He had one good season, plays run support average, and his hip movement doesnt allow him to cover RBs or TEs very well.

watched almost all the eagles games last year and his name rarely came up, dont think he has been anything but average for them.

ah ok, I wasn't sure what the deal was. If he's that much of a bust then we don't need to worry about Dallas exploring him as an option. They learned that lesson with Marcellus Wiley.

Don't quote me but I think the Eagles were looking for more big plays and speed from the strongside which is why they were extremely interested in grabbing Will Witherspoon before he signed on with the Rams. They also really like '05 2nd-round pick Matt McCoy for his speed and his coverage skills when he drops back into coverage on safety and corner blitzes.

The Eagles didn't like his Snazzy clothing style . Every time I've seen him, he's in a bowtie and a different pair of some weird framed glasses (I'm assuming they're just for show). Seems like an intelligent guy, tho. I thought the eagles were pretty high on him. Guess not, huh?
