This is an actual remake of the original and not just a widescreen patch,
First of all you need to have StarCraft 2 base game installed then in game go to the "arcade" section then just hit, here are a couple videos and it looks mighty impressive. I just might reinstall SC2 just to try this.

Gotta dumb it down for us consolers (releases/hard copies; though I know patches/mods are a big part of it and we'd be on there with ya. :D

Huh, what?
Oh my b ror the rant. I meant to say if it was on consoles refurbished w/mod support I and many otherrs would play more MMOs. I guess to get us non PC gamers into the mix; could help with community/sales bc the games look cool but seem to be passed over for consoles.

I've been hearing about the D2 remake on SC2.

I tried looking for it a week ago and it wasn't available so I'll give it another shot.

If only Diablo 2 was redone graphically with the Diablo 3 engine while keeping the gameplay the same..

Did you watch the first video? And no please scrap the Diablo 3 engine. It stinks.

Yeah i saw it a few weeks ago. I liked the way d3 looked visually, granted we are talking about a game made in 2000 versus 2012. D3, the game itself wasn't great and left a lot to be desired. The Story/lore, how you build your character, the end game, the paradigm levels, and etc.

Losing the skill tree and dumbing down basic attacks with idiot proof game mechanics is what ruined it for me. The way skill points worked in d2 allowed for different play styles and strategies whereas d3 is completely linear. There is one way to play it and there is too much time wasted grinding for loot.
