Dick Clark has died!

Seems like he was older than that as he was on TV for so many years.

RIP Mr. Clark.

RIP. He had that stroke some years back so I know his health was failing. Sad.

I remember watching American Bandstand when I was a kid. That guy never seemed to age.

RIP

Sad ......

I expect to hear Clint Eastwood and Dick Van Dyke anytime now.

I don't know about Clint but DVD seems in very good health. He just married a woman in her 40's (ok that may kill him) and in the interview I saw not long ago he still was in great health for his age. 80 whatever. Now Mary Tyler Moore is frail. She is almost blind from her diabetic condition & I believe I read she is recovering from brain surgery. I think it was her anyway. She is not well.

Dick Clark was in music? I thought he was just a tv host guy. :laugh2:

He had an extremely popular show, I think in the 50's called Bandstand. It was pretty much the main source for all the U.S. youth to see and hear popular culture like music and dancing.

Yeah, in the 50's. And the 60's and the 70's and the 80's. It was an Icon in and of itself. If you were anybody, you wanted to be on American Bandstand.

"It had a great beat and you can dance to it. I give it a 95."

(Only a few of you will get that.)

RIP Mr. Clark. New Year's Eve will never be the same without your smiling face, even if it has only been for a few minutes last couple of years.

The only time I heard his name was around New Years. I just figured they unfroze him for a couple days. :laugh2:

I grew up with that man...always loved Band Stand.

RIP

Wow! I thought he was immortal! Grew up with him. RIP to Mr. Clark, and many condolences to his family!!
