Did anybody see the "don't block the defensive end" play Sunday night?

I have to admit I forgot to look for it (I will rewatch the game here in a minute) but I didn't see any of those plays where we either left a DE unblocked by design or we sent a tight end out to do it. I don't know if it was Philbin or Moore who was to blame for it the last two years.. but I'm glad it's gone from the playbook.

There were a couple a slow passes in the flats that made me nervous. I wouldn't mind throwing that one out unless the WR can have time to make a move.

Yeah... I am willing to chalk that up to Dak trying not to overgrip the ball and/or deliver it with too much mustard given the rainy conditions. Definitely something to watch..
I remember it popping up in the past.

It's an interesting question and now I'm going to have to go back and review as well, but with Ferg being the only TE above 0 had only 2 receptions for 11 yards.
I'm assuming the sets involving the TEs was mainly max protect and blocking assignments, unless we totally wasted their snaps.

They did run a play in the second half where Biadasz had to peel off and block Thibodeaux coming off the edge - I believe that it was the 16 yard completion to Lamb on an out pattern to the right sideline.

The Chargers scored 34 points against the Dolphins and still lost. I don’t see how Moore was the problem.
Not always about the amount of points you score it’s the timing of the plays you call and situational awareness . Calling a pass play on 2nd and 2 when your pass blocking is weak is not a wise decision

that’s just 1 example there is more. That said he wasn’t the only problem but he was ready to go I’m sure it was mutual

Chargers were a good offense before his arrival

Dak had a couple bad throws but he had also had some throws that were right in the money. I remember one throw that he threaded the needle in between 3 defenders. I chalk up the bad throws to the weather and everyone getting on the same page. Dak will be good. With this defense all he has to do is not turn it over and that’s exactly what he did Sunday. So in my mind he had a good game. There’s 2 stats I care about, one is the final score and the other is turnovers. We won both of those stats so all the other stats are irrelevant.

The season is young.

Chargers supposedly have all this talent on defense. Been hearing that for 3 years now. But they can never make it work. Seems to me the need to change out their DC as well.
Or they are not as talented as the media say.

Cheetah had like 900 yards receiving. Don't think that was Moore's fault.
One man's trash is another man's treasure. Chargers took one look at their defense and said: "You like to shootout? Come onboard son!"
