well, the other thread is about the sanctions. This article is about the nflpa , and the terms by which thy agreed to these sanctions. I think it is significantly different... Hut, maybe not.

The NFLPA did not want the salary cap to go down in the new deal for the players. It was $128 million for 2009. If it is down to $116 in 2012 they are going to be very unpopular.

Hard to believe the Cowboys are just gonna sit still and just take the hit ... all because they chose NOT to collude with the rest of the league. This stinks to high heaven.

Agreed. This whole story is incredibly fishy.

It seems like Dallas and Washington are being punished for not colluding with the other teams. Collusion is illegal. We're being penalized for not doing something illegal.

It does seem like "reverse collusion"...

As I said in another thread... as details leak out, Congress may look in to this...
