I thought Gallup did well considering he was obviously still on the mend. now of course he could be cooked and that level of athleticism is all we will see from here on but his injury commonly takes 2 years for a full recovery and he was back in less than 1.
Bring the fly route back to his game and he opens up like preinjury. He was already completing the possession stuff with mediocre separation.
Tolbert did suck but he was a rookie in an extremely complex option route offensive system with coaches not on the same page. He should get a couple more years to develop and I haven't written him off.
Brown is an ideal WR5. He is not Goodwin levels at ST but he is close and he has evolved as a WR who all of his QBs havve a rapport with. It's when he is WR3 or higher that he is a liability.
I am not a fan of drafting a WR unless a polished product drops in the 1st. We already have the developmental type and expecting day 2 and much less 3 WR to contribute quickly is poor risk management if that is the 'solution.' I really like the idea of acquiring a veteran and pay them a premium if they have a speed element.
