I know, I know, I know....MLB has no salary cap....apples to oranges....I get it. HOWEVER, one is a marketing company that dabbles in football....the other is a marketing company that goes ALL IN with baseball. The Dodgers could EASILY do what Booger and Chuckles are doing and sock every last dollar away they can....but they don't....they spend, spend, spend....they want to win the World Series every year by trying to remove the luck factor....Booger and Chuckles want to "hang around the rim" and steal a NY Giants/Eli Super Bowl. LA's money they've made on Japanese corporate deals with Ohtani has already been spent on salaries....Dodger stadium will be PACKED every year regardless of the product....but they still spend, spend, spend.....like AT&T, its a destination of visiting fans and visitors in general. Booger and Chuckles are FLAT OUT LYING about the salary cap....if company man Mike Fisher is telling us this, you know its gotta be 100% fact. There need to be some orchestrated protests....too bad it's not the 70's and 80's where you could bring signs and posters into the stadium....you damn sure know that no radio station or other media outlets will get anything off the ground....and I don't trust AT&T zombies to bring paper bags for their heads....too blindly loyal for that. Sheesh....not sure where I'm now going with this....but neither do Booger and Chuckles. BTW....don't look for there to be ANY MENTION of Witten until the S storm dies down....that move will happen later on during the dark of the nite.

Not many can read your rant.

Friedman also has to win to stay employed. There are many distractions in LA if the team starts to slip. Nobody in sports leverages the brand or maximizes payroll like Friedman. They like their guys until they like better guys.

The Lakers are a much better comparison to the Cowboys. Too many family and friends on the payroll and content to be on TV and be relevent.

The Magic Johnson effect is the difference. No coincidence the Commanders have that "Magic" touch right now as well. SHOWTIME!!!

You do realize the Cowboys were the NFL version of Stienbrenner’s Yankees back in the 90s. The salary cap being implemented was Jerry’s true demise. The salary cap was created partly due to the Cowboys dynasty in 90s. You said it your self, comparing the NFL to MLB is apples to oranges. Friedman isn’t a genius just because he has a large payroll and defers money. Any GM can do what he he’s doing. The genius's are the ones in charge of the MLB players union. Imagine baseball creating a salary cap (which will never happen) after the next bargain agreement. It would devastate whatever the Dodgers are doing.

There isn’t one organization in baseball that wouldn’t take Friedman right now as GM…his timing is a thing of beauty…when Dodger fans panic, ones with calmer heads say “Breathe easy…let Friedman cook”…and he always does…this guy was scouting, visiting, and courting Sasaki for FIVE years…he wore him down is what he did…workaholic.
