With Zeke’s money coming free on June 1, it will give the team a little cushion to sign FA’s or extend players.

Rumors are that Diggs has “asked” for an extension before next season. Do you use Zeke’s money to get that done or do you make Diggs wait and hold that money for emergency signings?

Diggs waits or trade him now. I wouldn’t pay premium money for someone who doesn’t influence every play. Parsons, for example, is going to get paid. I’d like to keep Diggs but he is going to cost too much, in my opinion.

Why on earth would Diggs ask for a contract before next season and strip away his negotiating power? The only reason to do so would be he was willing and anxious to give a hometown discount. Don’t know about you but I’ve seen absolutely nothing to indicate he is going to take anything less than the maximum possible. Way too much ego to be stroked!

I don't sign or make him wait. I tell him up front that I have no intention of offering him a 2nd contract.

He's got bad extension written all over him.

Yeah he’s a major risk. I wouldn’t extend him this summer but he may force the FO hand. I’d like to see another season before I think about paying him,

He wants to stay here. And he wants to make more than 4 million next season.

I think you’re wrong. He wants around 20 million per season but prefers to stay here.
Lol, if he wanted 20m he would have had to start negotiations long before we started sniffing around at the Gilmore trade! They all say they want to stay but I’ve yet to see one take less to do so when they can become the highest paid at the position… even if it’s just for a day!

I have no idea how they feel about Diggs, but if their going to trade him do it soon. They should be talking to Diggs agent and seeing what type of deal can be made or not, instead of dragging it out to a deadline like they ineffective do on the regular.

I think they pay Diggs, but he could very well be a holdout candidate, so I think they should get ahead of the situation.
