Dillon Gabriel - would you trade for him?

We disagree . Give me the two backups battling in camp over failure in Cleveland . Dallas has 5 draft picks total next April with maybe a few supplementals thrown in none of them need to be traded for this Cleveland under performer certainly .

It’s actually bizarre anyone would even entertain trading a draft pick for a guy about to be released by a new staff . He probably helped get Stefanski fired . Dallas does not need another Jonathan Mingo Trey Lance give away draft picks for nothing trades
I'm not for it either. What's best for Cleveland however, is getting it right. They have a slew of QBs. Pick one out of camp. Far as I'm concerned, keep our picks unless we get DG for free or a song and dance. They just got into the NFL to be fair. Now a new staff.

What's bizarre is how you misinterpreted what I actually said

So Cleveland is not interested in keeping him, and they just spent a third rounder on him. I would love for Jerry and Spawn to trade for him. Maybe a 5th round pick? I think Cleveland has been totally stupid how they've handled the QB room over the years.

What do you think? A 5th? Or not at all?
Id spend a 7th or just wait for the Browns to cut him(Gabriel). They screw up left and right. Don't want Sanders.

Really? I value your take since you see him alot more. Don't you kinda think he needs more time? He just got to town last year. How many meaningful reps in practice is he getting? How many coaches have cycled thru there already?

Imo, he's not like, completely terrible. I think he would be a decent backup in some systems, and I think he could do well in a good system. I'm think one of the major mitigating factors going for him is that his oline sucked. I just don't rate him very much, if that makes sense. I don't think he'd be an improvement over Howell or Milton. I think he needs a lot of development. Now, maybe if he was like a 3rd string backup or UFL QB for a year or two, he might develop into a good backup option, but I don't see starter with him any time soon.

He’s not the type of player you go trading draft picks for . If Cleveland over drafted him and are looking to recoup some investment look elsewhere .

Haven’t the Cowboys and it’s fans learned anything about the Lance & Mingo deals bringing players here you knew would have a hard time seeing the field yet you sacrificed draft picks ,

Exactly, and I don't think he's an upgrade rn over what we have

Fair enough. Unless he shows us something in Brown's camp and preseason, Id bypass giving away a pick of any sort for him. I do like the guys we have behind Dak. I feel Howell might win the number 2 slot. He's won games before in this league, started, and is still young. To me that was a sneaky good pick up. I'll keep tabs on Gabriel though. Brown's are backlogged at the position.

I like Howell as a backup. I think he's a more competent QB than we've had as a backup for a while. To me, Cooper Rush was only good with McCarthy. Howell has experience at other stops and was usually serviceable. Not great, but serviceable. I think Gabriel, to be fair to him, had immense pressure, but I just don't think he's an upgrade. I could see him in Minnesota or San Francisco potentially to be a backup there IF Shanahan or O'Connell want him.
