Disappointed in Moose

Ex-jocks understand the game and are able to educate and entertain the fans.
Nothing pisses me off more than some college nit-wit who never played the game try and ridicule some jock for making a mistake. I think these wannabe jock announcers like Joe Buck should just call the game and keep their opinions to themselves. The ex-jocks who are in broadcasting have earned the right to be their.
I tend to like Musberger, Keith Jackson, etc.

Just because you were lucky enough to be big, doesn't mean you are a good broadcaster.

How does being a football player "earn" the right to be in broadcasting ?

It is just star appeal, nothing more.

Now I do like ex-coaches, they do provide insight.

Personally, I like the combination of a professional sports journalist and a professional athlete/coach, in the booth. Potentially, the best of both worlds IMO.

I like Moose and regardless of how hard he tries, you know just by his voice, he is much happier when the Cowboys are ahead than when they are behind.

Aikman is a little better at disguising his bias.

Joe Buck is annoying, he has a serious case of man love for Favre.

The biggest draw back to Moose is he is burdened with the two worst partners you could have, Stockton and Goose.

Nails on a blackboard.:blech:
