Watching the video of a launch is always awe inspiring. This one was no different.

I was thinking about this yesterday. I only live 1 to 2 hours from Cape and would probably be kicking myself in the butt for years to come if I don't make arrangements to go see one of the last two launches. I could probably swing it but last second launch rescheduling, delays and cancellations would be my biggest hindrance to making it happen.ologan;3858135 said:Watching a shuttle launch never ceases to fascinate me. I have never seen one in person, and I believe there is only one left after this one. I think it would be neat to go watch it.
is that close to the Johnson Space Center?Dallas;3857782 said:I watched it yesterday. Awesome no hitch launch and seperation.
We visited the Kennedy Space Center often while living in Texas. I always loved going there.

Yep. They drop into the Atlantic and they retrieve them for reuse.5Stars;3858383 said:Where do those booster rockets go after seperation? Do the just fall in the ocean?

Yeagermeister;3859872 said:The area is cleared of any ships or planes before the launch so it would be highly unlikely.
I've always wanted to see a launch so I guess I need to break down and do it this summer.
