ORLANDO, Fla. — A 911 dispatcher had to tell a caller how to unlock her car on Sunday.

A woman called Kissimmee, Fla., police to say she was locked inside her car at a suburban drug store.

“My car will not start. I’m locked inside my car,” the unidentified woman said.

“Nothing electrical works. And it’s getting very hot in here, and I’m not feeling well.”

The dispatcher asked the woman if she was able to manually pull the lock up on the door.

The woman said she would try, and then, she said, “Yes, I got the door open.”

I have no idea if this is true or not. A friend of mine said he saw a blonde crying in the parking lot of Tucson Mall. He went to see what was wrong and she said the battery in her automatic door lock was broken and she could not leave. He asked if he could try. She handed him her keys and he used the key to unlock the door.

Like I said, I have no idea if it is true or not. He swears it is, but he is a strange duck.

I would believe it.

I know sometimes my car's FOB acts up and I cant automatically unlock the doors and get in. I press the button but you don't hear the car unlock or the lights flash. It'll stop me in my tracks for a second or two while the 'ole gears kick in and I realize "duh, I have a key to this thing too..."

It only happens once in awhile but when it does it always takes me a second or two of near-panic before I realize I have a key.
