Bigg wants the ball

Bigg Davis was reminiscing about his days as a fullback at Wortham High in the locker room today. He claims he broke a 75-yard touchdown run as a 330-pound sophomore.

"I ran through the hole, broke a tackle and just got to the sideline and was gone," Bigg said with a huge smile.

Jason Ferguson, listening on while sitting in the neighboring locker, called bull. But I believe Bigg and think the Cowboys would be crazy not to get the ball in his hands.

I suggested a play where the Cowboys load the left side of the line by moving Marc Colombo next to Flozell Adams and leave Bigg uncovered. Play-fake left and Bigg would be wide open in the flat, and who's gonna want to tackle him once he gets a head of steam?!

"Or I could pull and get a handoff on a counter," Bigg said, promising to pass these suggestions on to Jason Garrett.

I say give him the ball and get all of our players out of the way.

OH man imagine seeing bigg sitting the backfield

I wonder if it would be legal for a team to have 0 players on the field?

If Bigg took a handoff, I'd hate to be one of our fullbacks. The FB would get stood up in the hole and Bigg would run slap into the back of him... killing him instantly and wounding three others.

I say stick polite in there to try that

FB problem solved

;)

Put Bigg in at blocking back with MB3 coming behind him at the goalline. (like the Fridge)

I think we score !:star:

I'm pretty sure that would be illegal in 49 states and 85 countries, to have someone that big and mean playing FB.

No way I would want to tackle a guy that big. When I was in HS (back in the middle ages) we had a running back/full back that was 6' 3" and a full beard and I drew him one day in head on tackling drills and it hurt my back when I hit him so no 330 pound guy for me. Mind you this was like 1965 and he was huge for then. Actually I drew him 2 time in a row and the 2nd time my eyes were shut waiting for the pain. I got him down both time, but I didn't like it and did want to do it again and never forgot that hit.

DMN Blog update

Bigg sends regards to Worm

A big, ol' smile broke out on Bigg Davis' face when I told him a former Wortham High teammate backed up his claim that he broke loose for a 75-yard touchdown run as a sophomore.

I couldn't remember the fella's name, only that he was in London. Bigg knew exactly who it was -- Jason "Worm" Carr.

Worm, Bigg asked that I use this here blog to give you a long-distance shoutout.
