Earlier we mentioned how Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones is up for the Sports Executive of the Year Award.

Cowboys Stadium is also up for an award - 2010 Sports Facility of the Year - as part of SportsBusiness Journal and SportsBusiness Daily's Sports Business Awards.

The New York Mets' home, Citi Field, Staples Center in Los Angelese and Yankees Stadium are also in the running.

I can't imagine Cowboys Stadium losing. Not with international soccer games, the biggest attendance for an NFL game this year, the NBA All-Star Game, the Cotton Bowl, two other big-time college football games and probably something else I've missed.

How is this possible? I mean, every punter in the league hits the scoreboard and it's a huge issue...or something like that.

1.2 billion and that's NOT a gimmee? Form the Sports Business journal and SportsBusiness Daily's Sports Business Awards?

What's the world coming to...............

Easy, you raise the scoreboard 5-10 feet and don't tell anyone.

I can't wait to hear the stadium's acceptance speech.

Something tells me the acceptance speech will include some lip-smacks, lots of "ummms," and end with "... for our fans" and a wink.

Cowboys Stadium should get the Sports Facility of EVER Award

............seriously

I can see it now...the stadium is cordial at first and then demands that the whole world bow down to show respect...when that doesn't happen the "Death Star" opens up on an innocent crowd:eek:....but I digress.
