Dan Campbell on Roy Williams

You never know who you're going to run into when you're dropping your child off at school in the morning. On Tuesday, it was former Cowboy tight end Dan Campbell, who is on injured reserve in Detroit because fo a hamstring injury.

And it came only a few hours before Campbell's old team traded for a player on his current tream, Roy Williams.

"It's just another weapon that the Cowboys can use and exploit defenses with taking pressure off [Terrell Owens] and pressure off Witten," he said. "I think it's an added bonus because I know those guys. I know [Patrick] Crayton's good. He's a helluva receiver. The reason I think it's going to be good more than anything is because you're going to see Roy is a good player and he can do phenomenal things. But I think given this opportunity to be a winner and coming home on top of the talent he has, I think he's just going to explode, especially once he learns the offense."

I liked Dan Campbell a lot when he played for us.

I did too but the guy is like glass. He's always hurt. It's like his body wasn't made to handle the rigors of the NFL.

But he's always been a good, honest guy.

this locker room could use a Dan Campbell.

AMEN!

That might be the best thing i have read on these forums in a while, I totally agree with that.

Campbell wouldn't hype Roy for no reason. The term 'explode' is the one I've been using for a while.

He hasn't played in a meaningful game since college, he has been waiting for this moment. He'll be studying under the hardest worker in the game, how can you not be fired up about this move?

Everyone is saying we overpaid for Roy. Let's see Roy on the field before any moron can make that assertion. BTW, Roys last game against ST. Louis was 9 catches for 139 yds.

:hammer:

I think he will work even harder here in Dallas and become a much much better player than he was in Detroit and he was damn good in Detroit.

It seems like when we pick up talented players they tend to take it to a whole nother level after a offseason with Coach Joe Juraszek and the rest of our staff.

I liked Dan a lot and wouldn't mind a guy, or two, like him in the locker room.

I do agree with him to that I think RW is going to explode in this offense. It's going to be a really great thing to watch.
