Lack of fights show respect for Phillips

Must admit that I'm a little disappointed we didn't get one single brawl during four practices between the Broncos and Cowboys. Blame Wade Phillips for robbing me of blog fodder.
Phillips let his players know that he wouldn't be happy with any fighting. He reiterated his point man-to-man with a few guys who have earned reps as willing practice brawlers. At least one of those guys thought he might be Andy Thorned if he threw a punch at a Bronco.
There wasn't anything close to a brawl during the Broncos' visit to Valley Ranch. There were a handful of shoves exchanged, but nothing escalated despite the potent mix of heat, testosterone, ego and competition.
That was a bad thing for easily entertained, sensationalizing media members like myself. But it's an indication that the Cowboys are listening to Phillips, even though he doesn't raise his voice a whole lot.

Maybe Wade should tie all the players to buried car axles...that should toughen them up, make em mean!

(just kidding...the mods can delete this if they want too)...

C'mon, every trailer park in the country has at least a mini-library from which you can get a dictionary. Failing that, go online to Merriam-Webster (m-w.com)

Shocking. I kind of expected all the mediots to say the lack of fighting meant Phillips was making the team too soft.

Na, I dont have no dang trailer. Now much of my family has parked housing, but that is another story.

No fancy Frasier and Niles lingo when talking football should be a requirment.

Anybody else miss Erik williams and the practices with da Raiders in austin, those were the days my friend, hot and rumbling...........
