Senior Bowl action
Most of the NFL people have left Mobile, Alabama for home. Some scouts are still here. The Cowboys scouts left.
Jeff Ireland, the VP in charge of all this, was interviewing some players last night in the convention center.
Ran into Texas offensive lineman Justin Blalock, I covered him at Plano East, back in the day. Blalock is sporting a beard these days and hopes to become a first-round pick.
Also, Texas cornerback Aaron Ross has spoken to every team here. Ross said he expects to play corner in the NFL, but a few teams have asked him can he play safety.
Saw Marv Levy checking out the Thursday morning practice and Anthony Lynn, the Cowboys running backs coach. Lynn is interviewing with Cleveland for a couple of positions.
Last night, Norv Turner was having a few drinks with Randy Cross, who works for CBS and a few others at a local bar. Turner was telling stories about his days in Dallas, Oakland and of course in San Francisco.
