Wade Phillips was asked Wednesday if any team has come close to slowing down the Saints this year and his answer was simple and quick: No.

The Jets "held" the Saints to 24 points in October. The Cowboys haven't scored more than 24 points in their last six games.

Simulating all that they do is difficult. Too many looks. Too many options. Too much speed. They have played some close games, although the only ones that were close inside the Superdome have been against NFC South rivals. They beat Atlanta by 8 and Carolina by 10 but division foes understand what's happening more than non-divisin teams.

This week Stephen McGee and Jon Kitna get to play Drew Brees in practice.

"They're going to be aggressive but at the same time they're going to get rid of the ball," McGee said. "He's going to check it down to his backs and let them make a play and get 2, 3, 4, 5 yards so they're in second and short."

McGee and Brees have dissimilar builds and games, and the rookie finds himself fighting what he's taught by the Cowboys coaches while attempting to think like Brees.

"Like Aaron Rodgers, he would scramble around and hold the ball and try to make a play where we're taught to get rid of it," McGee said. "But we have to give the defense the best look we can, so you try you're best to do what they do."

I find that sadly amusing..."whatever you do, don't play like Brees...that would suck."

That line amused me, as well. I would think if more QB's thought like the #1 rated QB in the league there would be more good QB's in the league.

Brees does certain things because his own abilities allow him to do that much of it is his own instincts. When bringing along a young QB along should the advice be to be like Brees?

This is true. It did seem amusing, nonetheless.

Romo wanted to emulate Brady last year and fans said don't play like Brady just play like yourself. Fans are right.

Practice QB playing like Brees but Coaching Staff saying don't play like Brees just play like yourself. Fans laugh at stupid coaching staff. Fans are right.

I just hope Tony isn't being taught to not scramble around and make plays... Considering that's what he does best.

This game will come down to how our linebackers fare in coverage. If they can make tackles quickly on backs, we will have success. If not, we are in for a long day.

I don't like our chances with that, but I still somehow think we can win this game.
