At 6-2, only Minnesota and New Orleans have a better record than the Cowboys in the NFC. So are the Cowboys in the same class with the Vikings and Saints?

Jerry Jones was asked that on his radio show on The Fan today and he played it straight.

"I think you are what you are," Jones said. "We've played well enough to get ahead in our division. But it sobers you up when you look at what we've got ahead."

The Cowboys play only two more teams with a losing record the rest of the way (Washington twice, Oakland). The combined record of the upcoming foes is 33-32. It's December where things change. Washington is the only opponent with a losing record.

Regardless, the Cowboys will get a chance to prove how they matchup with New Orleans on Dec. 19 at the Superdome. Do you think NFL Network is excited for that one?

That's about the most objective quote I think I've ever read from Jones. What's the temperature in Hell, right now?

I just knew he's been drinking again.

I hope the Saints are undefeated when we play them.

Not me, I'd like them to be on a Giant downward spiral right now...

Thats what I was thinking. I hope he keeps that kind of talk up instead of his rambling, long winded, nonsensical dialogues that make no sense and leave me thinking WTH?

I have to admit, SLATE, it would kind of be cool to have the opportunity to knock them off. I was actually thinking about this the other day, though, and if I had to choose, knowing we would both meet again in the playoffs, I would choose to lose the regular season matchup just because it's hard to beat a team of that caliber twice. I'd rather take our lumps in the first game, learn from our mistakes and thump em the next time.
