Do we have any players teams would call about to trade for?

Why do you ask so many questions coog, of course we do, but there seems to be a growing feeling that we have a bevy of players that we can just put on the trade block, and teams would give us great compensation for them. We can leave out the Micah's, Tyler Smiths, Lamb, Dak's of this team we're not going to go down that road. Other than that, what player(s) could we get compensation for. I surely don't see who we could put on the block and get anything better than a 5-7th for

Diggs will net you something in return, after this the list is sour!
Wilson
Hooker
Mazi
Ferg(Not sure exactly of his contract status)

The list isn't that good, yet you hear Cupp and Myles Garrett being up for trades, and fans of the Cowboys feel that we can just trade players and get a good return, I don't see it! Please give your thoughts

Not sure if Diggs would get you anything or not. He comes with a decent sized money attached and back to back injury years. I doubt Wilson/Hooker/Mazi would get much attention other than maybe a 7th round flyer either.

Ferg could be an interesting name to keep an eye on if Shottenheimer wants to roll with Schoon. Maybe he gets you a 4th?

Hoffman could be an interesting name if they had alternate plans at G. Terrence Steele could have sneaky value...not sure if it would be higher than a 5th, but its possible.

Not a ton of option unless you wanted to dip into the idea of moving Aubrey, Bland, Smith, etc. thinking they've overperformed so far and may see their value regress over time.

Only guys to trade imo are poor scheme fits. The OL should fit in with Coach Adams, but the Safeties could be on the block. I'd shop Dono n Hooker for a late round pick. I may have missed someone, but the Cowboys don't seem to have tradable assets.

Agree like I was mentioning fans see players on the block and assume that we have players that are worth anything in a trade. I could see a safety being gone, I think hooker was with eberflus in indy

The people you are talking about would get you very little in return. Mostly looking at mid to low level draft picks. Diggs is not tradable due to rehab of injury, a big contract and a very average 2024 when he did play.

Fergie or one of the TE is a possibility if some team had a real need.

Players that would garner a nice return and on the right type of contracts currently are Tyler Smith and Micah Parsons. But it would be dumb to deal them because you probably weaken the roster bunches and you would have to hope what you got in return was of equal value. That is risky business in the NFL.

Diggs is untradeable. Salary + he was terrible last year, and may never return to full strength.
Wilson. Meh.
Hooker. Meh.
Mazi. You're joking, right?
Ferg. Well, here is one player who has value, but then who are you saying we should replace him w/. There isn't a TE on the roster who has come close to what he can do.

If you're looking to trade players, it's going to be players that you'd rather keep. Parsons, for instance. You don't get to trade lower tier players for anything worth trading for.

Kupp can't stay on the field. Garrett would cost a bundle.

It's so weird how fans want to trade players, but only players they don't like. Just silly fan stuff.

Diggs is out the first half of the season probably so no, unless it's a young player for the low

lol the who are we going to replace him with theory, I hate seeing this, maybe it's "who's going to replace his production!" When Tom Brady retired, someone had to replace him, when Emmitt left someone had to replace him right?

If I was an NFL GM I'd treat Jerry like the dumb guy in my fantasy league.

I'd win championships on the backs of his players lol.

Why do you ask so many questions coog,
I bet you were that person, that after a very long and boring and unnecessary meeting. When everyone was just wanting to get out of there or die.
You were the person that asked a question, and prolonged the meeting for another 20 minutes.

:lmao: .... J/K

Other than Micah for top picks. Maybe a few guys for some mid to late round picks. But why would they trade a few role / depth players, just to draft replacement they would be taking chances on.

But do not look for anything like this to happen. How many times do fans think during TC. Hey we may have a few guys to trade. But nothing rarely happens. Except a few swaps for bust against bust players. Or a late round pick. Usually Jerry will be trading away picks before getting them.

I THINK some wanted to trade guys also that are upcoming FA's on this team. If anything we need to ADD players to this team, add more pieces to the puzzle.

As far as the meeting goes, i'm not really a talkative person, i'm quiet and reserved for the big man that I am, but when I get to speaking, the room shakes, or they laugh because I'm a part time comedian I think! Lol

and assume we'll get a GREAT draft pick for them too baffles me
Well hades, Cooglepuffs, I thought that's what you were doing!!!

Plus, Jerry is not intelligent enough to have a fire sale. That's what's kept us down over the last 30 years, his refusal to rebuild. Instead we trade valuable assets for Galloway, Roy Williams, Cooper, and Mo. I've seen people insist that the Cooper trade was a good trade, but how did it really help us? We won more games that season, but it was not the answer. And if it's not the answer, why give up a 1st+?

We traded for Cooper during the 18 season, and proceeded to win 11 games. OK.

2019: 8-8
2020: 6-10

Sooooooooooooooooo, it was worth it to give up a 1st+ for one winning season out of 3? Cowboys didn't win again until 2021, when Lamb broke out in a big way and led us to 12-5. Cooper had almost nothing to do w/ that, and we dumped him for a 5th.

Honestly you just cannot make up this level of incompetence.
