...use a mechanical keyboard?

Just bought one and really like it. Just wanted to know if anyone else had one or if they feel there are better brands out in the market.

The one I purchased was a Black Widow Razer. Noisy little things. Reminds me of the old IBM Selectric typewriter and the early IBM keyboards.

I used to love the IBM keyboards but now I just use whatever I get my hands on.

I use a Kinesis Advantage Pro. The keys are Cherry MX brown mechanical switches that have a tactile feel, but no click. There is a piezo buzzer that provides an optional click.

Nice keyboard, but it will screw you as far as using regular keyboards. I struggle to type on my laptop keyboard. The problem is that, on the Kinesis, your thumbs operate Delete, Backspace, Enter, and Space.

LOl, I thought this was about a piano keyboard. I play one of those. Yamahas rock if you are interested.

...getting one that had the customizable mechanical switches. I really enjoy this keyboard so I can see our family getting more.

I'm not sure about using you thumbs to operate the keys you mentioned.
