Does Chinn, Billings, Cook, Daniel or Sweat make sense for Cowboys?

Self explanatory. Do any of these players make sense in a trade for the Cowboys? I see them being floated as likely being moved before the trade deadline.

I think that a corner and Henry make sense and maybe Hopkins or another receiver.

..Someone like Henry, makes very good sense.

Need bruiser who gets tough yards. Also wear down defenses.

IMO Derek Henry would solve our offensive problems.

The defenses would not play the "Cover 2" very often fearing Henry just pounding them into dust. That would open up the deep pass to all our receivers but, especially Cooks.

As Bill Polian is constantly telling people, the Running Back makes the Offensive Line, not the other way around.

I believe we can fit him under the cap but, being a 11 game plus playoff run rental, I'm not confident we would pay the asking price in draft picks.

Picks?
A 30 RB with his mileage and at stage of his career should not cost picks with an s

Not if the oline is still blocking bad. Henry doesn't make something out of nothing behind the LOS

Chinn is a fun DQ style hit man. I could see him working.

Henry is a great fit as a changeup power back. The contract situation would get iffy next year, because he would want a new deal and Pollard would want a new deal, and like hell you are committing that much money to RBs. But as a short term rental, I really like him.

And FWIW, I don't think we should trade for either Commanders DE. But Washington has a tough choice to make with Young vs Sweat, and I want to see what they do. My guess is they end up paying the wrong guy. Young has a bigger name and much higher draft status, but he's put in like 1 1/2 years of good ball and has a mountain of injuries. Sweat has done nothing but produce for 5 straight years. If you are going to give huge amounts of guaranteed money to either of them, Sweat's the much safer bet.

Yep, getting Henry makes all the sense in the world if the Cowboys FO really believe they're working towards the playoffs. So, probably not going to happen. I feel the same about Jeffrey Simmons. Also probably not going to happen.

Chinn absolutely does. He's an athletic, fast, tackling machine that fits the mold of exactly what Quinn wants in his S/LB hybrids.

If there isn't room for him, make room. He's a chess piece and you can never have too many.

He would cost Dallas $6.8 million against the CAP this year. According to over the cap they have about $7.9 million in cap room. They can fit him but it would be a tight squeeze.
