Does Claiborne start ahead of Jenkins?

I'm not sure why but until now I just assume that Jenkins and Carr were still our starting corners. The more I think about it, however, I can see them starting Claiborne in place of Jenkins if he has a good camp. What do you think? Assuming we don't deal Jenkins, of course (which I don't think will happen and I hope we don't)

The team won't say it now but yes. You don't make this move and not start your 6th overall pick.

He's a starter week 1 and Jenkins may not even be on the roster by then. He might not be on the roster by tomorrow evening.

Oh they pretty much said it.

"Oh, he's going to play," Jones said. "We had (Alan) Ball starting a lot of games, we had Frank Walker out there a lot. He's going to play."

That's one way of saying it with out saying it directly

Rob Ryan seems to like to mix in different corners at different times. Of course, injuries had something to do with that last year as well as the starters not being everything he hoped they would be ... somewhat because of some of those injuries.

I'd love to hold on to Jenkins and actually have four corners who can help us, instead of having to stick a Ball on the field, but I'm sure Dallas will test the waters on a trade all the way up to the trade deadline if necessary to get value for him before having to just let him go next year.

Let me give you the Jason Garrett answer. Nobody walks in a starter. You have to earn that position. :)

Patrick Peterson didn't start Week 1 for Arizona because they realized he wasn't ready. I'm not same it will be the same for Claiborne, but having Jenkins on the roster (not saying we will, but if he is) gives us the luxury of easing Claiborne into the game and acclimating to the speed of the NFL without throwing him to the wolves.

If we have Jenkins, I say he's our Day 1 starter and Claiborne is starting by the end of the season.

If we deal away Jenkings, then Claiborne without a doubt is starting from the get go.

Yes. The lad starts ahead of Jenks from Day 1. Otherwise jerra burned 1 and 2 for the almost adequate jenkins to start.

I'm going to go the other way on this guys. I think he's a starter by Week 8 but I think a combination of him missing OTAs because of the wrist surgery and his freshness in the league and our depth I bet we'll ease him in. I don't think he's a week 1 starter.

Jenks has had 1 great year, 1 crap year and this past year showed a lot of courage with a bum knee, shoulder etc and was still our best cb. No issues with him coming back this year, the guy has a lot of talent for the position if he can stay healthy.

Yes of course he will be starting. We drafted him #6 overall. I fully expect him to be, by far, the best corner on the team by week 8. Our backfield is now Mo and Carr.

Jerry already named him one of our 10 best players. That pretty much tells me he will be starting week 1.....no doubt

Peterson started every game for the Cardinals.

He earned it by where he was drafted and what was given up. Jerry already said he's one of the 10 best on the team.

That doesnt really fit JG's mold of guys having to earn everything, including the star on their helmets no matter where they are drafted or if they are drafted at all.

Jenkins will be gone and no one else is anywhere near MC's class.
