Does Daks injury now solidify Mcarthy stays since there is an excuse for another failure?

lol no. He is going to be the fall guy. He needed to make it to at least the SB and even then he would have probably had to win it in order to comeback. McCarthy is a Stephen guy not a Jerry guy.

If he’s smart, he calls the plays on offense and gets back to running the ball.

He better hope Jason Peters is ready to play next week.

McCarthy sure didn't look like a winner.

Anytime during whole game and doubly so after he was told by trainer that Dak broke his hand.

He looked crushed and despondent.

I remember the times when I couldn’t wait until the season started. I would count the days. Now I can’t wait until it’s over. The Cowboys exhaust me.

No, I think it solidifies that he is gone. Never know with Jerry, but this is every excuse you need to go for Payton.

Maybe Jerry will finally figure out he needs an Oline.

this is why you play fantasy football. Cowboys alone are just depressing. I avoided all Cowboys this year. Telling.

It has been Jerry Jones' M.O. for almost three decades.

Well, it certainly couldn't have anything to do with the Director of Player Personnel and his roster/cap management. He's Jerry's son, for crying out loud!

No, it is the opposite. It pretty much means he is a lock to get fired since missing the playoffs is now a certainty.

That is why he was totally losing his @#$% when the trainer told him Dak broke his hand.

What an awful coaching job. Meatball Mike gotta go. He's rotting old meat. We need new offensive coaches and talent BAD.

McCarthy probably wants the buyout at this point. I think he’s gotten a raw deal with 2020 and 2022. Last year was the only year he had a legit chance.

No. I think it makes his position even worse b/c of how bad the offense was all night. It would be better for MM if he could get this behind him quickly. But it will now linger b/c nothing is getting better with Dak injured since the team has one of the worst back-up QBs in the NFL.

Mike has had one hand tied behind his back since he took the job. He knew that when he signed up to work in Jerry"s world. Heck, the pay is good and the Star is nice. His seat will only get hotter. Sean Payton will be in charge next year and he won't come unless he has full control of everything.

PS. I went to bed after Brady thru his TD last night. I knew we had zero chance of a comeback. Very sad situation.

I'll do this Parcels-speak......... MM may be the chef but jerry is buying him the groceries. You can't cook a Michelin star level meal with ingredients from dollar general.

Well it would definitely have saved Garrett's job. I don't think Jones has quite the same love for McCarthy. However, it probably does buy him time in that he likely finishes out the season and it depends how the team performs down the stretch.
