Does Jerry need approval from Stephen Jones to make decisions?

Stephen Jones has once again put this team in a bind by signing too many 1yr deals.

He is also the reason McCarthy gets to be lazy and not face any consequences for his failure as a head coach.

Stephen said on the radio last year that Jerry gets the final say with everything. Jerry is number one and Stephen is number 2. Everyone should know that by now.

So Jerry wants to make coaching changes and Stephen doesn’t. Here we are and McCarthy and Kellen are still here.

This looks like the son is punking the old man.

Stephen provides his input but the decision comes down to Jerry. No one tells Jerry what to do. Stephen has been able to sway Jerry on decisions such as taking Zack Martin instead of Johnny Manziel but everything starts and ends with Jerry. If Stephen wants to do something and Jerry doesn’t they argue but Jerry makes the final decision.

Right after the loss he basically said dam right he is coming to be back regardless of the failure because he was my pick.

Ohhhhh ok, I got you. Yea, I don’t think Stephan is making the final coaching decisions. You don’t hear of any coaches spending the night at Stephan’s house.

Jerry and Stephen have had a lot of disagreements. Stephen confirmed the one about Johnny Manziel. He said Jerry wanted to draft him and he talked him out of it. He said it took a lot of persuading. An unconfirmed report said Stephen and Jerry had a knockdown drag out argument over TO. Jerry wanted to keep him and Stephen wanted to move on from him. There were others in the organization that wanted to move on from TO and Jerry finally gave in. It’s a collaborative effort with the Cowboys but Jerry makes the final decision. He’s said that himself.

I Agree that Jerry is "number 1" and Stephen is "number 2" ;)

Yep it is his toy and he will play with it any way he wants to.

Jerry has said many times that when everyone provides their input and if it’s a tie he breaks the tie.

This is just nonsense.

And irrelevant at the end of the day.

If not, we are eternally screwed until the death of our beloved owner.

If true, then we have a case of elder abuse and quite honestly, if this Stephen Jones reign is accurate, it is not exactly proceeding very well.

You can tell he still loves his toy and enjoys tinkering with it. He might let Stephen play with it a little but it’s still Jerry’s toy.

Jerry has final say but tends to bend to the will of a collaborative effort by Stephen and staff unanimous in their objections.

Remember when, a long time ago when we all fanaticized about how Stephen Jones would hire a GM and run an organization in an effective manner?

Well now because Jerry Jones has the Betty White gene, and keeps chugging along, it seems a little contrived.

It is classic rich kid who inherited it all. Who, unfortunately, is not very intelligent.
