With the rumor from JJT that Dallas may release Key and not go after TO, something has to be up. Do you guys think that Crayton could be the new #1 in Dallas?

Not enough speed or burst.

Should be taken off punt returns too.

Will be a good #2 or 3 possession guy eventually.

Last year he sure was looking good. Bledsoe says he has the best hands on the team, and thats saying a lot considering Keyshawn's hands have been like glue for years. I think he has all the intangibles, he just needs some more time on the field.

He doesn't even have #2 potential...Let's let him prove that he can even cut it as the #3, something he didn't do last year.

I really like this kid alot, but bottom line is that he is a #3 receiver with some return ability. He will have games like he did last year that make us go wow! Most of the time he will be quiet....he has great hands and can be clutch in the middle of the field. Not great speed for a #1. I love to have him on the field as our #3, but we should not expect anything more then that from him. We need a legit #1 on this team. IMO...Chad Jackson or Holmes are the only ones on my radar with that type of potential that is even an option for us. I would like to trade for Jevon Walker, but don't see it happening.

TO........Say NO to TO!

Not enough speed or he'd have to grow about 3 inches and get a better vertical.

Rich...........

Michael Irvin is a #1 WR. Chad Johnson is a #1 WR. Randy Moss is a #1 WR.

Crayton is a good #3, and can step up to #2.

Let's not fool ourselves. He is what he is.

We're not ready for Crayton to step up to #2 yet.

agree with everything you said

He hasn't even proved that he can be a consistently effective third option. When he produces at a constitently high level on the field then maybe I'll give him the nod but right now he's not even a viable no. 2.

He had more TDs last year than Randal El had, haha.
If they had a board like this when Drew Pearson was signed, a rookie free agent from Tulsa, how might have said, he's too slow will niver be a nr 1 wr.

You don't necessarily need the fastest speed and burst to be a PR.

Who thought Hines Ward had #1 potential his first two years? He worked himself into not just a good #1 but a pro bowler and SB MVP. Crayton has similar potential with even better hands.

Well, since the word potential is in there I will say yes.

i agree.

crayton looked fast enough when he caught that game-winner from Vinny T.

he displays a blatant disregard for contact on his routes across the middle.

and he has a knack for snatching the ball out of the air in traffic.

crayton is a good athlete with lots of upside. you don't have to be a blazer or 6'2" to be a #1. he needs to be a consistant playmaker. hey... i think it could happen.

I like Crayton and belive he'll be a consistent player for us one day in some capacity. However, expecting him to be a #1 or even a solid #2 RIGHT NOW is like us believing Ralph "Pete" Hunter was a starting RCB going into the 2004 season.
