Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports agent Leigh Steinberg said Tuesday night, May 2, that Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams said he would consider playing for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League next season. Steinberg also said he would begin negotiations with the team shortly.

Steinberg said the running back decided to pursue a contract with the Argonauts after speaking with Dolphins head coach Nick Saban Friday, April 28. ''Ricky is open to it, so we'll see what's there,'' said Steinberg, who spoke with Toronto assistant general manager Greg Mohns on Tuesday. "We have haven't gotten into specifics of a deal yet. On the plus side, this is an opportunity to have him compete and stay in football shape while having some economic benefit."

Well. Good luck to Ricky. Hope it all works out for him. What is Canada's policy on Marijuana?

Our national symbol is the Maple Leaf. It's not a big stretch to change it to a "Columbian Fern".

In all seriousness, Da weed is still illegal up here and the CFL frowns on drug abuse. Life might be a little more relaxed up here for Ricky, albeit a little less lucrative......
