We won but that was SLOPPY.

This is just proof that NY sucks as bad as I said they did.
Anytime you turn the ball over that many times and have the costly penalties we had today, you are supposed to lose.

Thank goodness NY sucks too much to convert on those mistakes but almost any other team would have beat us and beat us bad.

We need to tighten up.

I don't want to sour the victory but I'm bein realistic here.
This is one of those victories where you wipe your forehead in relief but go back to the film with great criticism.

All in all, good win.
Top of the division where we belong.

I liked last week's win better. Can we go back to those type of wins the rest of the season?

We older guys have been warning everyone of this type of play. That's what young teams do. I would say "relax" and enjoy......but that's easier said than done.lol

BINGO - a let down is inevitable after a win like the Eagles. To win a game like this is immeasurable in so many ways.

Evenin' Pops.

Not pretty, but these games say more about a T-E-A-M than games like last week. I loved that we played pathetically and still grinded out the victory. Did I see a lot of bad things ? yup, but we didn't let it hold us down like the years when we were 5-11....This game says a lot IMO.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... save this kind of post for Wednesday. Even the players get 24 hrs to be happy. :)

I am happy with this win. We tried to hand the game away and gave every chance to the Giants, but we stepped up in overtime and took it back.

We WILL win next week at SEA and have a nice thing going.

New York was 3-1. Maybe they weren't a "great" 3-1, but they were 3-1. They're a good football team.

If you can beat a good football team by playing the way we did today, IMO, that says something about your team. When's the last time we won a game after turning the ball over four times?

You can't win pretty every week. The important part is that you do get the win, pretty or not.

I'm happy. I'm not thrilled, but I am happy. Can you imagine the mood if we would have lost?

Like I said in another reply.....Good teams find a way to win even when they play poorly.

Good win Sarge.....congrats

How many people would be jumping off bridges?

Imo, wins in the nfl are a lot harder to come by so it makes sense to enjoy this one thouroughly.

Ok, I'll just add my perspective--agree or not. Yes, it was a sloppy game. HOWEVER--we're coming off a huge win last week, one that many didn't think we'd win, & I think some young players were perhaps a bit hung over. To that end, I actually think this win may be more important. Even tho they were sloppy, they dominated in every stat but the score & ultimately pulled out the win. Inotherwords, they again took the diapers off, stepped up again & won. Hey, gang, we're not in their league, but the Pats don't always have pretty wins. The trick is, they win, somtimes ugly, sometimes huge. We won this one--& we did it without JJ & Dat. We won coming off a huge win last week when we might have been expected to have a bit of a letdown this week. We now have 2 in a row & are hopefully getting a bit consistent (apparently, we're going to be the cardiac kids this year). MOST IMPORTANTLY--we're not panicking when things get a bit rough. Face it, last year we would have just folded up & died on the field. And we've got a bunch of rookies who are looking damn good. As far as I'm concerned, we've got first-rounders with every one.

Realistically, when we looked at the schedule at the beginning of the year, with the Chargers, Raiders, & Philly on the schedule, how many of us figured we'd be 3-3 (or worse) at this point? We're 4-2 (& really should be 5-1) & have proved we're not going to be afraid of the big boys. We've got kids who are buying into Parcells' plan & not giving up. We've got a tough division & the players now know they can't take anyone for granted--which is great. Hopefully we'll see them getting to the good old days where they salivate simply at the thought of another NFC East uniform & want to get out there & tear 'em up.

At the same time, this defense is pretty darn good. I would argue they are a top 5 defense. I mean, what we have done the last 2 weeks is really impressive. Who we shut down, player and team wise, its impressive

and coming into this game, weren't they the most prolific O in the NFC? Or was it the league?

Look at the weapons we shut down til the late 4th in 100 degree heat.

Manning may be just a second year QB, but he has been improving steadily..and that last drive showed what he is now capable of.

It wasn't a resounding win, but it sure isn't one to be ashamed of either.

turnovers happen when you throw the ball, it is the bad holding penalties that drive me nuts...and the offsides penalties like witten had today that just kill drives as well...
