fixing an antennae on the Empire State Building

Wow!
This has got to be high on the list of most dangerous jobs. Hopefully they are well paid too.

I'd do it.

It's all about paying attention to safety and respecting your life and the lives of your coworkers. The right mindset and right attitude. You'll never be the same after you come down off your first climb, and yes, this kind of work pays pretty well.

The view from up there must be incredible.

If it's over 50 ft, it might as well be 5000.
That's a fact.

But most people just don't like the idea of having extra time to think about what just happened on the way down at 5000. :D

I hate heights but love roller coasters.

That is probably why you like roller coasters. You fear, but you love the feeling. Same reason why most people love it and other stuff like sky diving. The fear and the excitement it brings. I know I love it.l!

Do you ride roller coasters?

It depends. If its one of those insanely high ones, no. If its one that goes 25-40 feet, sure. I don't care about the speed.. It could go 1000 miles an hour.. It could go upside down.. But if its excessively high, i'll freak.

That's why I always loved the Batman coaster. You start off at the top of the crest so there's no slow tick-tick-tick-tick up the hill, which is the worst part to me. I can't even look.

Once it's going I'm fine, but the ascent kills me.

I have a rule. Never climb higher than you can fall screaming in one breath.

So far, so good.
