The crowd was damn loud. The crowd wasnt going nuts when we had the ball. Several times the niner fans tried to start a niner chant and they were quickly drowned out by the home crowd. Ive said it before.. the crowd is good, and damn loud. So stop sitting at your computer trying to bash that our crowd sucks.

Coaches....lol...ok let me have at it.
Last week ther was a ridiculous poll after we stomped the Eagles asking if you were happy ithbig mike. I jaughed then because the timing of the poll was pretty suspect and I said then, lets wait and see if we lose the 1st playoff game and then lets have that same poll and sure enough... wala. We went from Big Mike being so amazing to people now want his head. I have said repeatedly all year when I was told how dumb I was that these coaches were so much better than in the past, I said they are no different. We were here before in 07, 14 16 and 18. And guess what we got this year with this new amazing staff... the same thing we had in the past.

Ive said it forever, the coaches in the NFL are all good, they are largely irrelevant. I know, I know... im just a dummy. hmm, you think that game plan and play calling that Bieniemy had is why the Chiefs spanked the Steelers? I know IM gonna here what a great JOb Tomlinson did this year... so great they squeaked into the playoffs and got bounced in the first rd. BUt enough about that.... thats for another day. I was a head coach for 20 years, nothing close to the NFL level, but one thing that happened absolutely blew me away. Every new venue we played in I walked the field to observe any irregular things about the field of which I would discuss with our base runners, outfielders, maybe 1st or 3rd base and a catcher. Why? If you havent coached, you wont know, but trust me the field matters. As Im watching the game yesterday, you could clearly see that damn sun impacting things again. On the play where Wilson couldnt see the damn ball, the sun was covering.. maybe 1/3 to half the field, the other side was totally shaded. As soon as it happened I was shaking my head, dumbfounded how coaches and players arent communicating about that issue, but more importantly trying to call a play on the side of the field away from that sun... and yes, you damn sure could have done it.

Long post, but here it is.... we can change coaches, we can change coordinators, and yes, you can change the OWNER, and none of that is going to matter. If you watched the Bucs, you saw it. You saw passes that hit people in their face, in stride. You saw a QB make decisions that simply ate up a defense. You watched the Chiefs.. you saw a difference maker that simply puts a team on his back. You watched the Cowboys, you saw open receivers get balls 4 yards over their head. You saw more balls at their feet. You saw You saw a QB holding the ball too long. You simply saw an avg QB. When you have 2 teams that are basically pretty close, the team that has the elite guy is winning that game 8 out of 10 times. Thats it. Not play calling. Not scheme, not pregame hype, not "Preparation," not any of the garbage clichés that so many of you like to throw around.

I went to about 6 games this year. Had a great time at everyone of them. We already have our hotel reserved for season opener next year. I will continue to go to games with my family as it is always a great weekend. But I am simply done expecting wins against god teams. Doesnt mean we wont get some, doesnt mean we arent capable, but it simply means we will be on the wrong side of that elite qb winning 8 of 10 against the avg qb, because we got the avg qb.

So..... unfortunately, so long 2021 season. Its been enjoyable, and frustrating at the same time.
Lets now let the soap opera begin, as it will be really interesting if Mike survives.

Oh... dont you think it is strange that the Bengals got good all of the sudden??? must be that great coach....bahahahahhahahahahahah

Don't want to hear about Jerry? I guess Dak gave himself that contract extension. :muttley:

I agree with the overall premise.

I think coaching can hurt when you have dudes like Garrett and Marinelli with obvious dated schemes, but once you get past that and have legit coaches, it's all pretty much the same and its on the players to execute.

Prescott is a top half of the league guy.....mostly because there aren't many good ones. He is deeply flawed and needs a top supporting cast, which is going to be difficult to sustain because of his own salary.....but management bungled the situation to where they had zero leverage and no plan B.

From here though, I would make some changes for change sake and to at least attempt to send an accountability message.

For starters I would cut Elliott and Collins and Cooper and rebuild the OL. Focus on the running game because Daks arm itself ain't ever taking us past where he already has.

If Prescott doesn't like it he can take a pay cut and they can keep them. Mr. Hat passer won't be going for that one.

He can't work harder and learn accuracy, so we are stuck with him for now.

Side note.....what is with these gimmick plays every week where a WR catches a ball and throws it or pitches it to someone else? Extremely risky and rarely works. Is that why Moore is such a 'genius?'

Please, someone take him.....and before losing Quinn, McCarthy can hit route 30. At least Quinn made an obvious difference.

Back to your point....penalties are a huge problem and coaches can't fix that. We have stupid players, especially on the OL and that's where we need to start to attempt to fix things....

But really, if this team goes 17-0 next season, would we trust them in the playoffs? I wouldn't.

Dak is Kirk Cousins with a bigger contract.
We should all thank the agent for insisting on a shorter term so Dak could get paid yet again.

I thought that was severely stupid at the time and it's looking worse now from his end.

Good getting 40 million a year with tape like that.

Mr. Billion dollar deal got bamboozled again by a player agent. Can't wait to hear how he tries to spin this.

I'm gonna have to hop off the fence with Dak as well, been defending him for too long. Can't really look forward to him getting better he should be entering year 7, the only thing we can hope is that the injury from his ankle caused some of his mishaps this year and he will eliminate the issues...very unlikely but we have seen him throw a good ball at the beginning of the season. Like I said, very little hope for a turnaround here on my end.

We've paid Cooper - who definitely deserves what he is getting, but were not using him. What's the point of having him then, I'd rather invest that money into the O-line it would serve our QB better there. Also, LC - need to go and be replaced with a cheaper Steele. Williams - needs to be replaced in the draft with a 1st round pick IMHO - or use that on a C. Biadasz experiment has failed, both LG and C need to be upgraded.

All of our resources this year have to go into the o-line. This ultimately stalls us building our defense but there is no other way I see us improving unless our O-line vastly improves. Spending money to re-sign Gregory, Shultz and other high priced free agents does nothing for us, they did nothing yesterday to help us win. We need to establish the 2014 o-line identity to be able to succeed with Dak, this will ultimately prepare us for his replacement again in the next 3 years. Micah and Diggs should be enough for us to do this and then draft a DE on the latter half of Daks contract high in the first round.

I'm with you.

Thing is the FO needs to be honest with themselves about Prescott.

He is NOT a guy who can win games by himself.

Jerry thinks because he pays someone well that they ought to perform. He was nice on his rookie deal (wasted by Garrett's dated schemes) but really a team killer with his salary at this point.

So....we are stuck. Build the OL and running game.

Shameful because this defense needs help also.

It's a bad situation but that's what unqualified people do with things.....they screw it up.

No one can tell me Jerry and his kid are qualified because one of them played guard at Arkansas about 400 years ago.
