Don't we get Marcus Coleman back this week??

He's about to be cut.
I wouldn't be surprised at all.

I think he is suspended 4 games, not 4 weeks. We've played 3.

YEah, that's right. 4 games, not weeks. And you guys might be right. He could get cut next monday.

Actually we can have an extra week with a roster exemption -- the league allows that so that guys coming off suspensions can have a week to get back in playing shape.

I'd hold on to him as long as possible -- some team might have an injury and need a FS.

Simply don't need him, because Watkins is doing great and his backup Davis is a special teams ace.

Coleman is too old to be a factor on ST's.

Oh yeah, plus he's got a drug problem.

I think it comes down to Elam. If you're impressed with him you keep him and not Coleman. But if you want Coleman's experience (And you're already paying him for the year) you might put Elam on the practice squad. Or even drop Nate Jones or a linebacker.

We aren't paying Coleman anything cause he was on suspension not on the team--no salary until he eligible after Eagle game. Barring injury or someone else needing a FS/CB, Coleman will be cut.

yeah just cut him as with the way Watkins is playing, we have no use for an old drug using FS that cant tackle

I thought they had him playing the 4th corner spot in preseason not FS. It wouldnt surprise me if they keep him over Jones.

If they don't think they have much in Nate Jones... he is gone.

It isn't just about the strong play of watkins, but you want depth. Especially since they're starting the season so well. Coleman gives you that depth.

I'd probably want coleman starting a free safety over Keith Davis. And he is probably better than Reeves too.
