One general manager said they think Armstrong is a stud and can't see him staying for his senior year in 2018. They said that Armstrong could be on a par with, or better than, Boston College senior edge rusher Harold Landry. That general manager thought Landry would have been a late first- or second-round pick if he had entered the 2017 NFL Draft, and they liked Armstrong more than Landry.

Such an interesting pick to me.

In 2016, 10 sacks and 20 TFLs and looked like a top 50 lock for this draft.
In 2017, scheme changed to the DL playing run first apparently (similar to why Gregory didn't have gaudy college numbers) and his numbers dropped significantly.

I've only looked at him a little, but looks like he's pretty natural bending the corner for a dude with great size.

We could get better athletes and faster players. Some of this is like just watching with Blinders on. I think they get so zeroed on a guy and are locked on. 1 sack last season????? Ran a 4.87 forty. THAT SUCKS!!!
