This isn’t a DQ sucks fire him thread. This is a real life conspiracy right in front of us. He knows he is leaving and he didn’t want to be the bad guy who left with everyone crying. He completely changed his game plan and went back to the pre-bye week, SF game zone defense. Why??? Because he wanted Jerry to question him and he wanted the fans to think it wasn’t him who was destroying the marriage.

Why in the hell would you go to the zone defense knowing you’ve been very good with the man to man scheme? It absolutely cannot be explained. We made a guy who hasn’t ever had a 100 yard game look like the best WR in football.

Dan knows his guys love him, and some have even publicly acknowledged leaving with him. This was a way for him to be ran out of town and get guys like Micah mad at Jerry for firing him. It was a perfect way for him to leave…
