He has been EXACTLY the medicine this franchise needed.

So weird at one time Jerry and co. thought that getting Monte Kiffin as D. Coordinator was the right choice. But yeah mediocre coaching on that side with lack of talent was detrimental.

DQ has a philosophy that most of us agree with. They also got lucky that both CB's were taken causing Micah to be their 3rd choice and get selected. Thank goodness they didn't trade back. They have also done ok with some other picks but that Micah has changed this defense by himself.

Yah— getting a generational player to build around never hurts lol

But other DCs had D Ware to work with, and we never came close to leading the league in takeaways.

His ability to coax the best from his players, find roles for guys, and call a great game has set him apart from a lot of DCs that have been here

Never understood how JJ thinks as a GM/Owner. The D was criminally undervalued and underpaid for years. Great to see things change in that department
