I actually think it's decent drafting mixed with just a lil bit of we like our guys, but you can't blame them after a 12-5 season.

The Cowboys draft and do well bringing in undrafted free agents. Don’t let trolls and the national media tell you other wise. The Cowboys plan is to pay for elite talent Dak, CeeDee, Diggs and Parsons while using the draft and bargain free agents to fill the roster. The Cowboys and Ravens have the most home grown talent around the league currently.

One thing that really bothers me is that for all of this great drafting, the on-field results never measure up.

A team like the Raiders - who have arguably done the worst draft job in the league - not only beat the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, but they also made it to the playoffs, losing in the first round like Dallas did.

So what’s the actual difference between us drafting well or not? Not anything reflected in their accomplishments.

Do we classify this as good drafting or "we love our guys"?
I guess a little bit of both...

I have absolutely no problem with our drafting. I just wish we supplemented the draft with a few worthy free agent signings every once in a while. Seems stupid to continually ignore free agency by putting all of your eggs in one basket (draft).

We like our guys.
It's an overused phrase
But it Really describes our philosophy.
Wished we could have a more balanced approach.
Free agency and trades can be helpful team builders.

That’s because Cap Boy gets them stuck in horrible free agent contracts with their own players and they’re forced to sit out free agency. Any other team would have fired someone so terrible at the job, but when your last name is Jones, there is no accountability.

This is great,
But we need to ultize trades and free agency as well.

Yes sir our front office is our best opportunity to improve
But we all know that's not happening.

I would add trading as well.

Part of the issue is they do not normally aquire guys who could compete or take a job from those they picked. I think we draft a little above average or so but need to do a better job of moving on if a guy isn't working out. That includes being available be it health of off the field issues.
