Listening to Belt and Broaddus heard the following:

McDonald may have some things that need checked out (red flags?), but apparently the cowboys are not concerned according to BB.

Their opinion of the person most likely to be drafted as a cowboy: Kendre Miller, RB, TCU

Miller looks like a good bet for pick 90.

Rick Spielman couldn't say enough good things about McDonald as a player and off the the field.

I like both players. Coming out of day 2 with these two plus another prospect would be a good haul

I have nothing against McDonald but not wildly enthused at 26.

Seems like it would be more of a "future" pick ... but if he's BPA then it's justified.

If you go D or OL first, it does seem to set you up to take good value in later rounds due to depth of RB & TE in particular.

Same here. Like the player, like the pick, just a tad let down it's not an offensive playmaker. But better a good player, than the wrong player

That’s my thoughts. It doesn’t so much come playoff time in SF or Philly

I ignore Belt. He's just smug and closed minded. Clueless. We aren't drafting a TE at 26. Bryan has my attention because he has skins in the game. I value what he thinks. He has the cred. Bryan warned us yesterday that we really like Van Ness as well. I know many hate this guy already but I like him. That said, I think DE /TE is a ruse at 26. I think we are in luv with Hyatt and Flowers at 26. My hunch is we pick one of them tonight. We may even trade back and still land 1 of them.

The only way I dislike McDonald being picked is if any of the following are on the board

-Gibbs
-Kincaid
-Wright / Broderick Jones

I agree 1000%. It feels like a major smokescreen.

Agree. If Wright or Gibbs is there, I'd be doing jumping Jacks.

Yeah, I'm not picking McD if Wright or Jones are available.

I love Gibbs but I could bypass him for trench talent like that knowing I can get RB talent much later.

We luv Ferguson and Hendy. I see 0 way Stephen and Will draft a TE and spend prime resources at a position we have already addressed. This is why its a ruse. Its just logic. In my view, its wr/cb where we are going. We may even trade back.
