DraftGuysTV: Josh Johnson Video

I like the kid, but I don't think the Cowboys have any interest in him.

My 6 yr old niece has bigger calves than he does. Really like his upside, but he's going to need a couple of years to put on weight. At his current weight of 213lbs. he'll get killed.

I realize it was against lesser competition, but 43tds to 1int is just plain sick.

Despite the level of competition he played at, Johnson is fundamentally sound, closer to NFL-ready than a lot of QBs who played at big-time programs... this is because he was tutored in college by former NFL QB Jim Harbaugh...

He dominated that low level of competition in such a way that I'm confident he'll be able to translate his game to the big time... for all his Michael Vick-type speed, he's a passer first...

If we dont get him, I hope Houston does......cause I have no doubt he will be able to outplay Schaub within a few years and take the starting job.

Whoever drafts him, I hope they give him a fair shot and not try to convert him into a WR from day one.

Haven't read where anybody is talking about trying to convert him...

I haven't either, but he does have the prototypical size and athleticism that of a WR more so than QB. Couple that w/ his lack of experience against better competition and some GMs may envision him as a WR.

So only the nonathletic can play QB? :laugh2:

Nah....but, I wonder if he'll pass the eyeball test w/ some GMs. He's by no means a small guy, but w/ his slender build, some may question if he'll be able to add enough bulk to take a pounding. JMO.

I'd say that chance of him not playing QB in the pros is about 0.001%.

I am not going to pretend i know a lot when it comes to projecting QBs and such....

But he is someone Id be pretty happy with if Dallas chooses to look at QB in the draft.
