They got the job done back in 2009...so they are endeared to Saints fans.
Yeah. They got the job done once.
Preceding and followed by a ton of muck.
How long did it take Brees and Payton to "get it done"?
You think we have such patience for our current QB?

2006 - Rookie head coach; 1st season for both in New Orleans.
Helped team turn around from 3-13 (Hurricane Katrina) season to 10-6 and first-ever appearance in the NFC Championship (lost to Bears).
After 2007___ 7-9 and 2008___8-8 seasons, the Saints went 13-3 in 2009 and won the title.
4 seasons to get it done...that's pretty good.
In the following decade, four playoff berths before the consecutive three 7-9 years, then followed by four consecutive playoff seasons (including an NFC Championship game appearance).
Then Brees called it a career, and Payton soon followed.

As for your second question - Jones will have patience for our current QB to "get it done".
I believe most Cowboys fans do too.

You're looking at them together and I understand that.
Brees took years to even get a playoff victory.

And he's supposed to be HOF material.

And you're saying we're patient enough when everyone is calling for Dak's head already?
Do you read this board?

Oh yeah, all those other things you tried to describe as reasons are called "excuses" around here.

Every year that hasn't won a SB is a failure to many here.
He's a giant failure with a great coach, who's also a failure, except for one magical year that their town got decimated by a hurricane.

Get with the program.

The topic was about Payton and Brees being together in New Orleans - and the results there.
Just gave a brief outline of their teams results. No reasons or "excuses" as you proclaim.

Prescott wasn't even part of the narrative until you brought him up.
And as long as the Cowboys Owner/GM believes Prescott is the right QB for the team - his patience is the only one that really matters.
And not 'everyone' here at Cowboys Zone 'is calling for Dak's head".

Lol. Fine.
I'm going to eat dinner and watch a terrible 50's sci-fi movie.

Some fans act like getting the job "done" once isn't much of an accomplishment when there are lots of players and coaches who go their whole career without even getting to a Super Bowl, much less winning one. I don't really understand the mentality.

There are only 35 coaches who have won a Super Bowl in 56 years.

Drew Brees might be 6' with a helmet and 3/4" spikes on his cleats. Maybe.
