Oregon is absolutely owning Cal.....guess another top 10 team is going to fall today.

It is looking more and more like Florida, UT, and Bama are the cream of the crop this year......everyone else seems to be basically average.

Miamis brief stay in the top 10 seems to be coming to an end as well

well thanks to BYU and the win over TT, if UT can beat OU, that puts them in the driver's seat for the Big 12 South title.

its true though....look at all the ranked teams losing to average or below average opponents this season. Actually the upset trend has been going on ever since the 2006 season. I mean there were always upset, but not on the level that there have been in the last few years. Honestly, the top level programs and their fans can no longer count on all the lesser conference, and even the lower tier conference, opponents as a W. They have to actually show up and earn it more and more these days.

I will say that it does make for some entertaining football.

I feel a playoff system would make it even more exciting. If Conference Champs made it to the playoffs, it would allow for better non-conference games. Florida would no longe schedule Furman or Wofford. Texas would no longer play North Texas. Florida could play USC in non conference and Texas could play Alabama. It would be awesome for the fans.

How could OU be basically average? They lost to BYU by one point when our star quarterback was injured. We came back and shut out the next two opponents including a Tulsa team ranked #1 in Offense last year. Meanwhile, Texas has only played one fairly decent team in TT and struggled part of that game. I would say there are a couple more good teams this year besides the top three.

If OU beats Texas next month, will you still say that? If OU barely loses to Texas, will you call Texas a great team that barely beat an average team like you claim OU is? Curious....

Dude you beat a FCS team and Tulsa, OU fans are in no position to question the quality of UTs opponents right now

BYU got destroyed at home by a Florida St. team that has 2 losses now....

BYU played way above themselves. Oh and as far as the Bradford injury, yes it hurt them, but don't act like the offense was doing anything before he got hurt. BYU mistakes gave the OU offense great field position and they capitalized a few times. Other than that, they were struggling. I do believe had Bradford not gotten injured, they would have gone into the half, made some adjustments, and came out much better in the 2nd half. But he did get hurt and the team struggled the rest of the game.

As far as OU being average.....it doesnt matter whether they are great or average or even if they suck....the RRR is a rivalry game. Throw records out. This one is all about emotion, school pride, hatred, etc. When you have Stoopes and Brown on opposite sidelines, it should be a darn good game.

BTW, OU seems to be playing lights out without their Heisman Trophy winner.....maybe Bradford isnt as vital as we all think.

The way college football is these days nothing should be taken for granted. I think college is more competitive these days than it has ever been. I'm a big Horns fan myself and while OU is a critical game and the winner will have the inside track to the conference championship Texas has to be careful not to look past any team out there.
