They may run blitz on every down and try to put the ball in Bledsoe's hands, hoping to force him into mistakes. I know we are on the road, but hopefully we will attack a bit more through the air, unlike the game at Seattle.

Pass to set up the run, then turn JJ loose. hes got 1600 yards to get and those 3 weeks off didn't help. hes got some yards to make up for.

Lito Sheppard has proven he is no match for Glenn and manning him up is a surefire way to allow Dallas to put lots of points on the board. They will have to pick their spots and not leave Sheppard hung out to dry.

Sheppard's performance has disspelled the notion that he is anything more than an average CB who was playing in a good scheme. Brown has been superb for the most part, though.

I think they may try to do what the Giants did with Griesen, blitz up the middle. It seems that teams now realize that Al Johnson is suspect when he has pressure on his nose.

To counter, I think the Cowboys should use alot of 3-WR sets to spread them out and attack the middle of the field with an intermediate passing game.

I have a feeling they will actually do quite a bit of 3 man rush. Showing blitz, but then dropping back into coverage.

In the last game, Parcells went to max-protect early and often to give Bledsoe time to make big plays. He mixed this with quick throws like WR screens to punish the Eagles.

I think JJ will atleast try to catch him off guard in this way. If it doesn't work, he'll adjust and play his normal game, with calculated blitzing.

Max-protection, WR screens and passes to TEs have been deadly to the Eagles thus far this season. My solutions would be:
- on passing downs, substitute Dawkins at SS with Sheldon Brown at FS. Sheppard, Hood and Ware would play CB.
- find various ways to man up Dawkins on Whitten.
- how to stop WR screens? shed blocks and tackle. up to the players.
- Identify the situations that teams are using max-protect, if possible. Show blitz, but drop LBs into coverage. In these situations, use Dawkins at SS to give deep help to Lito Sheppard.

JJ has a 3 man line package, called the Okie. This package hasn't been used much, if at all, this season. I am hoping it is because they were saving it for our NFC East stretch.

Very interesting and thorough perspective. I would think that JJ would try to pressure Bledsoe more than what he did in the first game. The main reason is that the Eagles will be at home and it will be very tough for the Cowboys to call out protection schemes and audibles.

In the first game, Sheppard allowed seven catches for 116 yards and a touchdown, plus two penalties for 15 yards. Brown allowed six catches for 61 yards and a touchdown, plus one penalty for 5 yards.

alright, now i'm not feeling so confident about my solutions :D

that's why I trust Jim Johnson, he get's paid the big bucks to make big risks and pay the price if they're wrong
