Many fans wanted him to be promoted to DC, then possibly as HC at some point.

I will be curious to see how many has turned against him. Because of their disdain for Jerry and this team now days.
Now I have no idea who the fans were, nor will I search to find comments.
But that was how I remember it.

I would think this would be a Jerry hire. I don't think No-Schott has ever worked with Eberflus.

Not sure it will be all about disdain for Jerry, although that obviously plays a big role. I think if we had hired him as head coach after his successful stint in Indy, most fans would have been good with that. The fact that we're hiring him after a failed head coaching stint in Chicago has taken the shine off him.
